8220 - F7-B - Southern Pacific

Photo 01 - This is a B unit in Southern Pacific. Seller on Ebay says that it's a Marx in its original box. It's not. It's a repaint ... look at the "Southern" part of the roadname. It's crooked, missing part on the opposite side and has decal shine. Also, the porthole windows are open, Marx engines are closed. This is an Athearn F7-B unit.

Photo 02 - Close up photo of the B-unit out of the box. Notice that the "Southern" part of the roadname is crooked and has decal shine. Marx equipment didn't have decals, the information was printed on the car. This is obviously a repaint.

Photo 03 - This side is even more obvious that this is a repaint. Half of the "Southern" part of the roadname is missing.
